Peter is a Consultant Solicitor and is a specialist in Digital Law issues including Data Protection, online privacy and security and also has expertise in handling Information law including matters relating to the Freedom of Information Act. He provides Data Protection Audits for clients along with bespoke advice in relation to the regulatory and risk issues associated with using business and marketing systems online.
Prior to joining Taylor Bracewell Peter worked on several high profile pieces of litigation, including successfully defending a High Court action against the UK Government that was valued at £16.5 billion. He continues to offer Dispute Resolution services via mediation, arbitration, negotiation and litigation.
Peter is a member of the Law Society’s Technology and Law Reference Group at Chancery Lane in London, and is the Law Society Council Member for Yorkshire and was Secretary General of the European Young Bar Association in 2010. He is an Associate with the American Bar Association and has acted for clients in the United States, Russia, China, India, the EU and closer to home in the UK. Peter speaks widely at events for organisations including the Chambers of Commerce, the National Association of Business Owners and the Law Society of England and Wales on Digital Law matters.
