Emma Cornell
Emma Cornell joined Taylor Bracewell as our Head of Dispute Resolution in January 2016. Having qualified as a Solicitor in 2004 and has worked in the legal field since 2001.
Emma has extensive and varied experience in Dispute Resolution. She has experience of complex and high value claims but all are run with the sensitivity and personal touch that Clients need to get through what can often be a stressful time of dealing with a dispute.
What area of Law do you work in?
Whilst my case load is varied I tend to concentrate on the civil litigation aspect of disputes. It is difficult to describe the area of law in a few sentences given that no two matters are ever the same. But these can range from boundary and neighbour disputes, consumer issues and contested probate.
What is the best part of working for Taylor Bracewell?
Taylor Bracewell is not a firm of individual solicitors, but a team who work together to provide Clients with the best possible service. The exceptional knowledge of the staff has made them one of the leading firms in the area. It is a pleasure to work in an environment where all are encouraged to be their best self.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
What is the most rewarding is also the most daunting ! No two Clients or two disputes are ever the same. When you meet with Clients for the first time, you never really know what their matter is going to be about. This certainly keeps you on your toes.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time with my running group. The social side of running certainly makes all the exercise pain worth it!
